In some cases, the fishing drone may have a safety feature that causes it to land in water if it loses contact with the fisherman.
If a fishing drone goes out of range, it will either return to the starting point or continue flying until its battery runs out. In either case, the drone will eventually fall out of the sky and be lost at sea.
This can be costly and frustrating for fishers, so it’s important to stay aware of your drone’s range and take measures to avoid losing it.
If it continues fishing, the drone will either return autonomously or be retrieved by the operator. Depending on how far out of range the drone went, there may be some slight drifting that will need to be accounted for when retrieving the drone.
