How to put a bobber on the fishing line?
There are a couple of different ways to put a bobber on a fishing line. One way is to thread the bobber onto the line and then tie on the weight and hook. Another way is to attach the bobber to the weight and hook first, and then thread the line through the hole in the top of the bobber.
The simplest way is to tie the bobber directly to the line with a piece of string or dental floss.
Another way is to use a small wire ring called a “bobber stop” which can be slipped over the line and around the bobber.
The third way, which is most popular among tournament fishermen, is to use a specially-designed spring-loaded bobber holder which attaches to the line using tension instead of knots.
Once it’s threaded on, hold on to the bobber and pull up on the fishing line until the bobber is at least 18 inches above where you plan to bait your hook. Then tie a knot in the line above the bobber to secure it in place.
To put a bobber on a fishing line, first cut a length of monofilament or braided line about 18 inches long. tie one end of the line around the top eye of the bobber using an overhand knot. Pass the other end of the line through the bottom eye of the bobber and make sure it passes through properly by pulling on both ends of the line. Pull tight and trim off any excess line.
