How to make dough balls for fishing?

The fishing dough is one of the most popular lures for fishing with feeder and float rods. There are many recipes for making dough. Ready-made dough for fishing can be bought in the store. I suggest that you make dough with your own hands.

Important. The main problem with bait dough is its weak fixation on the hook. If you add thin insoluble fibers of hygroscopic absorbent cotton to the dough, it will hold firmly on the hook.

According to the method of preparation, the fishing dough is divided into three types:

1. Raw dough – kneaded with water
2. Cooked – cooked ready balls, they become more buoyant and stiff
3. Steamed in a water bath – holds well on a hook

Recipe 1

Pour a small amount of flour into a container (flour can be wheat, semolina, corn, pea, or a mixture of different kinds of flour)
Pour in a small amount of water and stir (an egg or milk can be used instead of water)
Knead the dough with your hands until homogeneous and soft plasticine

Soft toasted bread – 300 grams
Any finely grated cheese with a strong flavor – 100 grams
Spoonful of milk
One tablespoon sugar
Corn oil a tablespoon
Fishing flavoring teaspoon

Toasted bread – 300 grams
Finely chopped slices of frozen sardines – 3 pcs.

Recipe for making dough for catching fish. The following ingredients will be required:

1. Milk powder (2 parts)
2. Semolina (3 parts)
3. Corn flour (2 parts)
4. Soy flour (1 part)
5. Corn cake (2 parts)
6. Chicken eggs (10 eggs per 500 grams of dry mixture).

Pea dough
Pre-cooked peas are kneaded into mush and mixed with the ready dough in equal proportions. Roll balls of dough and hook it on a hook. The proportions may be different.

Mix wheat flour with egg white and use ground sunflower seeds and honey as a flavor additive.

You need to add a few drops of anise oil to the prepared dough.

1 cup water, 1 cup sugar (bring to a boil)
1 cup flour, 1 cup cornmeal
2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
Mix everything together and knead in flour.

I just made the dough, but I had to change it up a bit because I didn’t have cornmeal, so I used yeast to flour. I had a half dozen stale crackers, so I added them, but I think it turned out well.
