Next, use an old toothbrush to scrub off any dirt or grime that’s on the lure. Be sure to go over all the nooks and crannies so the lure is completely clean. Finally, use the small brush to remove any leftover debris before rinsing the lure off with fresh water. Your lures will be good as new and ready for their next fishing adventure!
If you’re using soft plastic lures, one way to clean them is to simply put them in a Ziploc bag with some water and a tiny drop of dish soap. Close the bag and let the lures soak for a few minutes before rinse them off with clear water.
Another method is to use an old toothbrush (or a dedicated lure brush) to scrub off any dirt or gunk that’s build up on the lure. Once you’ve given it a good scrub, rinse the lure off with clear water.
If your lure is particularly dirty or stink, you may want to soak it in a mixture of water and vinegar for a few minutes before scrubbing and rinsing it off.
Whatever method you use, be sure to dry your lures off before storing them away – otherwise they may rust or degrade prematurely.

Then, using a wire brush, scrub off the remaining dirt and debris. You can also soak the lure in hot water with dish soap to help loosen any built-up dirt or grime. Be sure to rinse it off thoroughly afterwards.
